Our Elegant Covered Patio Lounge is a favorite location for guests at our Vermont Wedding Venue to enjoy our panoramic views and outdoor spaces, including the great lawn and our wildflower meadow. There are 5 sets of double glass doors that lead to the covered patio lounge. There are three levels of lighting on the patio as well as ceiling fans and white washed wood ceilings. The lounge furniture consists of two sectional lounge areas. Each sectional is comprised of a sofa, coffee table, side chairs and end tables. In between the two sectionals there are high top tables with bar stools. Beyond the covered patio, there is another patio with cafe seating for 16 guests at 4 tables. The Barn has also invested in the permanent installation of a 45’ tent which contains further high tops and seating. The tent doubles the amount of scenic covered spaces that we have for guests to relax. We have even set up custom cigar and whiskey bars for clients in the tent. There is no extra charge for the tent to our clients. It is part of our continuing efforts to produce epic events. And with our views, we wanted to provide a wealth of covered spaces for guests to enjoy the views no matter the season or the weather. The covered patio lounge is central to cocktail hour. Guests will be served hor d’oeuvres while they mingle on the patio lounge, great lawn and tent. We have an outside bar that is central to the covered patio lounge as well as the main bar inside.

The elegant covered patio lounge is used for the entire event, not just cocktail hour. Guests will often come outside of a breath of fresh air and enjoy a peaceful moment of stellar Vermont views or the starry night skies we are famous for.

The Barn at Smugglers’ Notch has invested in the permanent installation of a 45’ x 30’ tent on the great lawn. This is included with all summer and fall weddings . Adjacent to the covered patio, the tent greatly increases the amount of covered space that is available for your guests. With clear side panels, your guests will be able to enjoy the panoramic views whether the tent is open air or enclosed. There are solar string lights hung inside the tent for the night time enjoyment of your guests. The tent has relaxed lounge areas with couches, seats and cocktail table with stools.
