Joey Nagy, Chef-Owner

Hailing from northern California and in a kitchen since the age of 12, Joey brings nearly two decades of experience to Cast Iron Catering. His experience ranges from large scale hotels to fine dining restaurants and offers an in-depth understanding of all aspects of the hospitality industry. He currently applies his expertise to overseeing operations at The Mad Taco, in Waitsfield and Montpelier, as well as Mule Bar in Winooski. Joey has a passion for pork and for cooking on an open flame. He has recently gained local notoriety by pairing these two passions together by hosting specialty meals, pig roasts, and large festivals in the craft beer market.

 

Vincent Muraco, Executive Chef

Vince brings with him over twenty years of experience as a professional Chef, splitting his career between California, Miami and New York City. Vince has lent his culinary talent to such establishments as Andaz 5th Avenue, Park Hyatt San Francisco, Park Hyatt Los Angeles and the Hyde Street Bistro. It is Vince’s vision to bring the best Vermont has to offer directly to your guests. He sees his work much like that of a curator, looking to Vermont’s abundant farmer’s markets and local producers to create a menu that creates excitement. Vince recognizes that relationships matter when it comes to creating a successful meal; the relationship with the producer of the ingredients, with the clients and their vision, and with the staff he oversees. His wealth of experience is an enormous asset to both our company and your event.

 

 

Kristin Warner, Catering Director

Kristin serves as our Catering Director. She is tasked with coordinating between our clients and our kitchen and is dedicated to executing the vision that you bring to your important event. Kristin will be your primary contact in the logistical planning leading up to your event. Kristin serves as the front-of-the-house manager at all of our large functions as she brings over a decade of experience coordinating events, functions and weddings.
